COMESA Request for Expression of Interest (EOI) for Consultancy Service to Develop the COMESA Aflatoxin Regional Action Plan

Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA) has received a grant from the Partnership for Aflatoxin Control in Africa (PACA) towards the cost of Regional Workshop on the Aflatoxin Challenge in Eastern and Southern Africa (conducting in March 2014 in Lilongwe Malawi) and developing a Comprehensive Regional Aflatoxin Mitigation Plan. COMESA intends to apply a portion of the proceeds of this grant for Consultancy Services to develop a Regional Aflatoxin Control Action Plan. EOI’s are due on or before 13 November 2015. Uganda Stakeholders Meeting for Reviewing the Aflatoxin Action Plan and Mainstreaming into the DSIP
2015

On 25-26 June 2015, approximately forty stakeholders from agriculture, health, and trade met in Kampala, Uganda to adopt the Uganda Aflatoxin Control Action Plan and mainstream it into the Uganda Agriculture Sector Strategic Plan (ASSP).

Tanzania National Aflatoxin Control Action Plan and TAFSIP Mainstreaming
2015

On 20-21 May 2015, the government of the United Republic of Tanzania convened approximately 50 stakeholders in Arusha, Tanzania to adopt the Tanzania Aflatoxin Control Action Plan and mainstream it into the Agriculture Sector Development Plan (ASDP II) and the Tanzania Agriculture and Food Security Investment Plan.
