To study the prevalence, incidence and reduction of aflatoxin contamination of cocoa beans from 3 ecological zones in Nigeria, collection of samples were made from 3 agroecological zones of Nigeria. Samples were assesed for aflatoxins during harvest, fermentation and storage. The aflatoxin contaminated beans were processed by deshelling and roasting and percentage reduction were detrmined.
